A B O U T
Hi, I’m Lacie Lussier, an interior designer with a B.A.S. in Interior Design from Seminole State College of Florida, a CIDA-accredited program. My journey into design has been anything but conventional, but every step has shaped my approach to creating beautiful and functional spaces.
I’ve always been drawn to the arts, I completed by A.A. in Studio Art before earning my first bachelor’s degree in English-Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida. While working in Orlando’s event design industry, I realized my true passion lay in interior design and space planning.
I also attribute my love for unique residential design from growing up in a military household. This meant living in utilitarian base housing, where character and architectural charm were often absent. This experience shaped my deep appreciation for fine architecture and high-end residential design—elements I now bring into my clients’ homes. For me, interior design is the perfect blend of beauty and function, an art form that people live in and interact with daily.
After completing my studies I was able to intern and work with two residential firms where I learned much and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. While I never envisioned starting my own business, life presented a new path when my two-year-old son was diagnosed with autism. I quickly realized that a traditional office job wouldn’t provide the flexibility I needed to balance both my career and home life. Opening Holiday House has allowed me to pursue my dream job while being fully present for my family.
As I continue to grow in this industry, I’m excited to bring creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to every project. My goal is to design spaces that are not only aesthetically beautiful but also deeply personal and functional—turning houses into homes that truly reflect the people who live in them.
Ok, but why call it Holiday House?
The term Holiday House dates back to the prestigious Gilded Age of American homes. It became especially popular among those vacationing in the grand estates of Rhode Island and was even associated with one manor in particular, owned by the Snowden family.
At its core, a Holiday House symbolized luxury, comfort, and a special retreat. But why should that sense of elegance and relaxation be reserved for a temporary escape? I believe our everyday homes should feel just as special—places of beauty, comfort, and timeless design.
My passion is to transform your home into a lavish sanctuary, a space that feels like a getaway while being lived in and loved for generations to come.
